The National to Throw Benefit Concert for Hawthorne Valley and Mass MoCA
Harlemville, NY – Hawthorne Valley is pleased to be partnering with Mass MoCA as part of a benefit show given by The National on June 11, 2016. The concert was announced yesterday as part of Mass MoCA’s 2016 season and will be The National’s only headliner performance in the Northeast in 2016.
“We are exceedingly grateful to The National for their generosity of spirit in throwing this benefit concert on our behalf, and it is our honor to partner with such an innovative organization like Mass MoCA to make it a reality,” said Martin Ping, Hawthorne Valley Executive Director.
The National is an Ohio-raised, Brooklyn-based indie rock band that has landed on every “best of” list in print. Its half dozen albums receive critical praise surpassed only by the adoration of its devoted audience, and earned them a Grammy nomination in 2014. Rolling Stone declares, “The National have always been fueled by a mix of big-time artistic ambitions and deep-rooted family values.”
The Benefit Concert will be held on Saturday, June 11th at 8pm at Joe’s Field at Mass MoCA in North Adams, MA. There will be a pre-concert cocktail party with The National from 5 to 7pm. General admission tickets for the show and the party will go on sale tomorrow, Friday, December 18th at 11am. To buy tickets and for more information, visit Mass MoCA’s website.
