Summer Intensive 2012: Arts in Education
Artistry in teaching is the lifeblood of true education. This annual program of creative activity provides an opportunity for current Alkion Center students, experienced teachers, and the general public to engage in the themes, subjects, and artistic practices that are at the heart of Waldorf Education. Each year, inspirational, expert guest teachers are invited to provide a rich palette of offerings.

Tuition
Application and registration fee received before June 1: $450 + $40 materials fee = $490
Application and registration fee received June 1 or later: $490 + $40 materials fee = $530
The $50 registration fee will be deducted from the overall amount due.
Tuition for currently enrolled Alkion Center Foundation Studies and Waldorf Teacher Training students: $275

Childcare
Hawthorne Valley Waldorf School offers an extended day Kinder Camp during the Summer Intensive for children ages 3 to 8. Walks to the stream, visits to the farm animals, snacktime, and storytelling are all part of each day.
Drop off is from 8:15 to 8:30 and pick up is from 4:30 to 4:45. Each child should bring lunch.
The total cost for the week is $375.
